What an exhilarating three days it has been from July 19th to 21st at the Rotary Park Lawn Bowling Club! The heat was intense, but the competition was even hotter as Alberta’s top bowlers battled it out to become the Provincial Singles Champions. The games followed the exciting format set for the 2024 Bowls Canada Boulingrin National Championships: two 7-end sets with a nail-biting 1-end tiebreaker.
Women’s Singles Competition
The women’s competition was a thrill ride from start to finish! Cathy Selzler delivered stunning performances, securing the gold medal with her remarkable precision and strategy. She now joins Alberta’s top Women’s Pairs Champions to form an unbeatable Women’s 5-a-side team for the National Championships.

Men’s Singles Competition
The men’s competition was equally electrifying! Pat Bird soared to victory, claiming the gold medal with his incredible skill and determination. Alongside silver medalist Josh Cameron, he will join the elite group from the Men’s Pairs Championship to represent Alberta in two formidable Men’s 5-a-side teams at the Nationals. The level of play was phenomenal, making for an unforgettable tournament!
