The 2024 Bowls Alberta Seniors Triples Championship, held from August 20th to 22nd at the Commonwealth Lawn Bowling Club, was a resounding success. The event showcased the very best of lawn bowling, with thrilling matches and exceptional performances from players across Alberta. It was a celebration of skill, strategy, and the strong sense of community that defines our sport.
Women’s Division Triumphs:
The women’s division was particularly captivating. The gold medal was won by the dynamic team of Lorna Hatton, Leona Hatton, and JoAnne Liberty. Their outstanding teamwork and precise play shone brightly throughout the tournament, earning them the top spot. The silver medal was claimed by Anne Black, Donna Rawson, and Shannon Watson, whose strategic brilliance and resilience made them formidable competitors. The bronze medal went to the talented trio of Joy White, Sue Davison, and Chris Besovie, who demonstrated great spirit and determination.
Men’s Division Highlights:
In the men’s division, the gold medal was awarded to Ken Olsvik, Fred Emms, and Brent Warren. Their flawless execution and strategic play set them apart from the rest.
